About V Nail Lounge

V Nail Lounge is a family-owned business built on love, resilience, and generations of dedication to the nail industry.

Our journey began on January 8, 1998, when our family opened our very first nail salon in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was a small space - just 800 square feet - but it was filled with big dreams. As a family of five, we poured our hearts into that salon and proudly owned and operated it for 13 years, building lasting relationships with our clients and community.

After many Indiana winters, our dad often joked that he was getting older and simply couldn’t handle the cold anymore. Eventually, we decided to make a bold move to Florida. In what felt like a sign, everything fell into place almost instantly - our salon and home were both sold within a week. The entire family packed up and moved south, except for our brother, who stayed behind to attend college at IUPUI.

In Florida, we purchased a salon that had only been open for six months and worked hard to rebuild and grow its clientele. While we loved vacationing there, we soon realized Florida didn’t truly feel like home. Even then, our dad still felt cold - often bundled up despite the warmer weather.

Ultimately, our hearts pulled us back to Indiana. We sold the Florida salon and returned home, choosing the southside of Indianapolis so our family could be together again. As we searched for the perfect location, our dad found the spot where V Nail Lounge stands today - even though the rest of us weren’t convinced at first.

Shortly after moving back, we learned that our dad was sick. His illness affected his internal temperature, which explained why he had always felt so cold. He passed away not long after.

Just three months later, we signed the lease on the very location he had chosen.

It turns out - he knew exactly what he was talking about.

We opened V Nail Lounge on July 19, 2014, and have proudly served the southside of Indianapolis community for nearly 12 years. The “V” in our name honors our dad, whose name also began with a “V,” allowing his legacy to live on through the business he helped inspire.

Today, V Nail Lounge is more than a salon - it’s a tribute to family, perseverance, and doing what you love with the people you love. We’re grateful for every client who walks through our doors and becomes part of our story.
